Lovey was spotted just down the road from here -- on a back country road -- by some neighbor kids. They came over to the house to let us know that someone had been trying to catch a STRAY dog for two weeks with no luck. It looked like she was just another "drop off" by some heartless owner who had decided he/she didn't want her anymore and "threw her away".
Armed with a bucket of food - water - some treats - and the camera ... I grabbed Nikki and away we went to Rescue this poor dog. It wasn't easy and took A LOT of coaxing but we finally wrangled the poor thing into the car and brought her home with us.
Little did we know - this stick figure of a dog was PREGNANT and would surprise us with a litter just a month later. More of Lovey's story soon ... along with more pictures. :)
